Max Davis, J.D. is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Law School. He practiced law from 1972-78 with Ross & Hardies, specializing in tax and pensions. In 1978 he joined Centel Corporation as Associate General Counsel and Vice President, President and eventually Executive Vice President. Currently Max participates in a weekly pastoral visiting program at Mather Pavilion and is a frequent volunteer in graduate research projects at Northwestern’s Speech and Language Disorders program. Max and his wife have lived in Evanston, Ill. for over 30 years and have two adult sons. Jane Doyle, Ph.D. is Executive Director and a co-founder of Center of Independent Futures. She has over 20 years supervisory, teaching, consulting, and fieldwork experience focused on transitioning young adults with disabilities into community lives. Jane has served on the faculties of National Louis University PACE Program and University of Illinois at Chicago, supervising graduate students’ teaching practicum in Chicago Public Schools. Jane and her husband, Dave, have a 29-year-old daughter with developmental disabilities. Andrew Feldman is an investment management associate at Mesirow Financial. He is an alumnus of Indiana University where he earned a B.A. in Philosophy, a minor in Psychology, and a business certificate through the LAMP program. After graduation, Andrew worked for a small company researching and developing new exchange traded funds. Since 2006, Andrew has used this expertise to design and implement financial plans for his growing base of clients. His education and experience assist CIF to reach its goals. Andrew lives in Lincoln Park with his fiancée Jamie. Javier Figar de Lacalle is a Kellogg School of Management Board Fellow. He comes from Spain where he received a double degree in law and business administration and worked as a Relationship Manager at The Royal Bank of Scotland. As an MBA candidate, Javier is an Austin Scholar majoring in marketing, general management, and entrepreneurship and is active in several student clubs. Before starting his post-graduate degree, Javier worked for 10 months as a volunteer consultant for social development projects in Peru, where he also co-founded a small non-profit organization to finance projects in deprived neighborhoods in Lima. He lives in Evanston, IL. Michal Golden is a social worker and brings over 15 years of professional experience with individuals with disabilities to the CIF Board. She coordinated a community living facility at Glenkirk Association for nine years and received an MSW from Loyola University Chicago. Michal has resided in Evanston, IL, with her family for more than 20 years and has been very active in the community. She served as PTA President of both Nichols Middle School and Dewey Elementary School and is currently involved with Evanston Township High School and the Evanston Community Foundation. Janet S. Henry, Board Chair is a Senior Fixed Income Analyst at Holland Capital Management, L.P., an investment management firm headquartered in Chicago. She has been an investment management professional for more than 25 years, specifically in the areas of fixed income research and management. Ten of those years were spent at Aon Corporation where she managed a $2 billion bond portfolio. Janet holds a BA in history from DePauw University, an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. She lives in Kenilworth, Ill. Ira Mitchell is a Records Management Clerk at Oce Business services. He came to Evanston through the PACE program at National Louis University 16 years ago. Ira also served on the Board of Directors of Natural Ties, a nonprofit that served individuals with disabilities in Evanston. As an individual with disabilities he adds diversity and insight into his generation of adults with disabilities living and working in community. Jan Rauen is a Partner at Laner Muchin Dombrow Becker Levin Tominberg, Ltd. where she has practiced since 2001. Bringing more than 15 years of experience in labor and employment law, she has served as professional support in the development and implementation of CIF's personnel policies and procedures, and has presented employment related guidelines to participants at CIF's New Futures Initiatives Conference. Jan has also served as an instructor in the paralegal program at Roosevelt University in Chicago. Jan received her B.A. from University of Illinois and her J.D. from Chicago-Kent Law School. She lives in Chicago with her husband and her son. |
